Professional Biography
Kinta Mohammed Junior (NCE, B.Sc.(Ed.), M.Tech.) is a dedicated researcher and aquatic scientist with a core focus on the intersection of aquatic health and sustainable food production. His primary research interests encompass fish nutrition, aquaculture, microplastics, ecotoxicology, heavy metal pollution, and ecology. He is currently a Ph.D. researcher at the Department of Animal Biology, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. Driven by a commitment to environmental sustainability, Kinta’s work critically examines the impact of anthropogenic pollutants particularly heavy metals and microplastics on aquatic ecosystems, while simultaneously exploring innovative nutritional strategies to enhance aquaculture productivity. By bridging the gap between ecotoxicological risk assessment and practical aquaculture management, he strives to develop solutions that ensure both the ecological integrity of freshwater systems and the food security of dependent communities
