Professional Biography
James Christie is a Lecturer I in the Department of English Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Nigeria. Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin in 2006 and completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in 2008. In 2014, she earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) through the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) in affiliation with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
She joined the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, as a lecturer in 2015. In 2025, she obtained a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts and Cultural Studies from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and has since risen to the rank of Lecturer I. She is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. Her area of specialization is Dramatic Criticism, with research interests in Dramatic and Film Criticism, African Theatre, Performance Studies, and Literary Theory.
